The ongoing project Tossed is a readymade exercise where I collect all the coins I find on the ground each month, year after year. Transformed into a walking calendar, these coins suggest that the value of something is a matter of perspective. Indeed, the power to turn discarded change into sculptures, polished and painted by time and weather, lies within our perception. Consequently, how we define value—whether it's time, money, nature, or life itself—and draw the lines about how those things drive our lives might just be a matter of interpretation and, therefore, choice.
